PHEFFER JOINS BAYNE PREMIUM LIFT SYSTEMS AS GENERAL MANAGER
Greenville,
S.C. (Dec. 14, 2007) — Bayne Premium Lift Systems, the leading
manufacturer of refuse industry cart lifters and a provider of ergonomic
products for various commercial and industrial markets, has hired Doug
Pheffer as general manager. |
In this position,
Pheffer is responsible for all aspects of Bayne’s operations,
including sales, marketing, customer support, engineering, operations,
finance and human resources.
Pheffer comes to
Bayne from Total Records & Information Management, a professional
information management company located in Spartanburg, SC. As vice
president of operations, he guided what had been an unprofitable
start-up company into positive earnings within three years.
Pheffer has more than 15 years experience leading and managing business
teams for a number of manufacturers and distribution centers. His prior
positions have sharpened his skills in many areas, including enterprise
budgeting, sales planning, sales and marketing leadership, personnel
development, Six Sigma/Kaizen/lean manufacturing training, and supply
chain optimization. He has also enhanced his ability to understand
customer and market needs in order to lead the development of new
products to meet those needs and better serve customers.

Pheffer earned a bachelor’s degree in management and production from
the University of South Carolina. He has also obtained his CPIM
(certified in production and inventory management) designation from
APICS, the Association for Operations Management.
He and his wife live with their four daughters in Boiling Springs, SC.
