BAYNE
RELOCATES HEADQUARTERS, CART LIFTER MANUFACTURING
Greenville,
S.C. (Feb. 2, 2007) — Bayne Premium Lift Systems, a leading
manufacturer of hydraulic cart lifters for refuse collection vehicles
and commercial/industrial applications, has moved. The new Bayne
headquarters houses offices and manufacturing less than four miles from
its former Greenville location.
“Moving allowed us
to arrange all of our operations to better meet our own needs, as well
as the needs of our customers,” says Jimmy Biggerstaff, Bayne general
manager. “Our old facility was oversized in many aspects and
inefficiently designed for our business. Coming into the new facility,
we started with a clean slate and were able to design our production and
office layout to match the way we do business. As a result, material
flow is improved and we can work much more efficiently. By refining our
layout and streamlining our material flow and storage procedures, we
have room for future expansion, as well.” |
The old facility was 70,000 square feet compared to 42,000 square feet
at the new location. Bayne occupies the entire building, which
previously contained office and warehouse space.
Customers visiting the facility will also notice improvements in air
quality, housekeeping, neatness and organization, Biggerstaff says. |
