Jimmy Bayne, supplying machine parts for industries throughout the Southeast, established Bayne Machine Works, Inc. in 1968. Bayne has served several markets with high quality parts for over 40 years.

In 1986 the Thinline® Premium Lift System and the patented Rack and Pinion rotary actuator were developed. This actuator was specifically designed for rugged waste handling applications. The Thinline® Rack and Pinion rotary actuator is unique to the industry and provides excellent performance and reliability. Due to its thin design and longevity, the Thinline® Premium Lift System became the most requested lifter by drivers and operators.

As the business prospered from the overwhelming reception the product received in the refuse market it was decided to expand into other markets. Bayne Machine Works, Inc. now has product residing in many commercial and industrial applications across the country.

Our in-house Engineering Department has designed lifter systems currently being used in factories, hospitals, shopping centers, food processing plants, and universities. We take great pride in assisting our customers with challenging material handling applications. As the world leader in waste handling equipment and with the ever-expanding commercial and industrial product line it was obvious that a more efficient production facility was needed. Therefore, in December of 2006, Bayne Machine Works, Inc. relocated to a new 42,000 square foot facility in Greenville, SC.

Bayne Machine Works, Inc. manufactures the highest quality equipment for the many markets it serves today. We take pride in our reputation of superior reliability. All parts are manufactured in-house using the latest and most advanced CNC machinery available. Each part is checked thoroughly by our Quality Control Department for accuracy.
